How you can support CCAD

Gifts to CCAD provide a margin of excellence that can not be met with income from tuition alone. Gifts are used to support student scholarships, the annual fund, enhancements to campus facilities and to increase the endowment. Gifts from individuals, businesses, and foundations are welcome.

The Development Office can provide information about many types of support from gifts of cash, securities, or bequests to sponsorships or special business partnerships that enable art and design students to gain experience in the corporate world.

Every year CCAD conducts several fundraising campaigns. They include mailings, alumni outreach, and events highlighting college activities (i.e. visiting artists presentations, exhibition openings, or special fundraisers). Dollars raised during these campaigns support scholarships or special projects that enhance the learning experience for the next generation of creative leaders.

Scholarships

Support for scholarships comes in many ways. Gifts of any size may be made to the general or endowed scholarship fund. Named gifts may be made once, annually, or endowed. The Development Office can help donors determine appropriate criteria to meet their wishes.

Annual Fund

Gifts to the Annual Fund support annual operations of the college. While they are generally unrestricted dollars, donors may earmark their gift to an area of special interest.

Campus improvements

Enhancements to the campus (i.e. new learning labs, the latest in software applications, improved classroom facilities, as well as technology upgrades, etc.) are important to CCAD. Donors may even want to consider naming a campus building.

Endowments

Endowment gifts provide long-term security for the college. Interest income from endowed gifts supports named scholarships and provides operating dollars annually.

The college is eager to facilitate bequests, insurance or other planned gifts that meet donors' goals.

The Alice Schille Society

The Alice Schille Society was formed in the 1980s to recognize individuals who make significant annual contributions of at least $1,000 in support of the college and to honor one of CCAD's most famous alumnae. Alice Schille was devoted to art and to the college where she taught for nearly 45 years. Members enjoy special privileges including invitations to special receptions and early admission to student art sales.
